Katie Beasley

Katie Beasley is a designer and letterer from Portland, OR. Katie recently graduated from Pacific Northwest College of Art, where she fell in love with design and discovered how completely captivated she is with letters. 

She thoroughly enjoys being a creator in Portland and draws inspiration from the multitude of artists and makers within every corner of this city. A lot of people are dabbling in lettering these days. This competition pushes her to try new things and experiment with ideas no one else is doing in order to stand apart. He process is very rotted with exploration and play. Katie thrives when she can delve into tools and techniques to elevate a product to that next level of cool. 

At the moment, Katie is a freelance designer and letterer in Portland working with both small businesses and larger agencies. Her art is best represented by her favorite food - salad rolls. A salad roll - like her lettering - is FRESH, can be consumed anywhere with ease, and is multifaceted - crunchy, salty and delicious. (Peanut sauce, right!?!) Her art is multifaceted in different ways, but we think you get the point. While Katie's professional aspirations are ever changing, if she can sustain a healthy travel schedule through design and lettering she'll be happy.
