Emily Sheetz

In middle school, Emily Sheetz could be found carrying around a sketchbook filled with silly drawings that made her happy. She took art classes as much as possible deciding to further her artistic education with a minor in studio art from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington. There she learned new techniques and discovered her passion - oil painting. She finds inspiration through her partner, Matt, also an oil painter, as well as the everyday beauty that surrounds her both in the natural world and virtually through creatives on social media. 

Emily lives in Portland and is in love with the strong artistic current that flows through the city's veins. It forces her to push creative boundaries and explore new approaches to art - especially in the realm of fashion as an outlet for expression. She spends her time drawing, nannying and planning her future vintage fashion empire. She hopes to continue illustrating children's books because of the joy she sees when reading to the girls she nannies, as well as the joy she finds from within.
